Political Compass
Finally a gauge to enlighten me on the orientation of my thoughts. Political Compass tells me that I am an economic left winger with a slight inclination towards authoritarianism (score: Economic Left/Right: -3.88, Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 0.05). A confirmed authoritarian leftist, wow! Though my score on the social dimension surprises me! [Link via Acorn]
Update: Wow! It’s been three years since I took this test. I took the test again and now I am a confirmed Leftist Libertarian. What a change! And feels so good in the company of Mandela and the Dalai Llama.
Amazing! My results are what I always thought I was and been: a Libertarian Leftist, but not extreme either way! Economic Left/Right: -3.00. Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -0.87. Blessed to be in the company of Gandhiji, Mandela and Dala Lama.
Hey! I took the test, seems I am a Libertarian Right. I always knew I was a right winger, but more Authoritarian. Why this sudden volte face in my believes?
[Trackback] I have been very clear on not putting any politics into this blog. But when Deb pointed to a political compass, I could not really hold back. So I went and took the test… Suprisingly, it turned out I did
Dont worry Deb, though I think myself to be a non-leftist(dont beleive in communism to tell the truth), I did score being one. I think most of us have a soft corner/optimistic part that make us a leftist…:-)
You tell me Nitin 🙂 Readers of this blog have labelled me a leftist for long. I somehow took it with a pinch of salt owing to the fact that irreespective of the lineage I have been an UP wallah rather than a Kolkattan. These results brings me to reality, or should I weave a concpiracy theory, as one reader accused me of doing often 😉
Has this got anything with being a Bengali at all ? 🙂
